Timothy Township Partners with Byway, History to be shared.

Timothy Township, located on Crow Wing County Road 1 along the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway route, looks much like any other rural area township. But in truth, it’s really a geode of fascinating history.

Changes ahead for local National Historic Landmark

The DNR’s Fire Tower along County Road 11 between Pequot Lakes and Breezy Point, once a work site for forest rangers scanning the trees for signs of fire, has more recently been enjoyed by residents and visitors as an historic site rich with stories that harken back to the influence of area logging and Paul Bunyan.

The Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association’s annual celebration event at Marina II on November 9 provided not only a fun and informative evening for the over seventy attendees, but also a forum for highlighting accomplishments and honoring supporters.
